“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay and you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

Isaiah 64:8

Our Intent:

Our intent is to create engaging and interesting lessons for all, which are cross curricular, where possible and build upon previously taught skills so that pupils progress within each element of the art curriculum. At St Joseph’s our bespoke Art curriculum prioritises drawing, children use their sketchbooks to explore and develop their ideas, through drawing, for each element. Children will learn about and be inspired by artists and crafts people, both classic and modern day.
